Tevunah’s Mission
Tevunah תבונה (teh-voo-nah) is a Hebrew word meaning reason or “understanding.” Understanding emphasizes the ability to see how things relate, to see the big picture and still keep in mind the individual parts. A person who has tevunah is able to see both the forest and the trees. Tevunah involves knowing how new information relates to old.
I started Tevunah because I started to notice I was taking in tons of content, and not doing anything with the vast majority.
I have goal where I read at least one book a month, which ends up being closer to 24 a year. While there are no doubt benefits of reading, if I do not stop to digest most of the lessons will be lost.
I am also a fan of a few podcasts, which have helped improve my life, I want to take the time to filter out the noise. I also do analysis to scratch my own itch, with the content I post I have in mind to post the scripts used so one can recreate the content. I have started to transcript Hillel Fuld’s #SnapchaTorah which I really enjoy, and believe should be only on a medium that disappears in 24 hours.
